Characteristics of this Mizuho Ogon

What stands out immediately is the even, high-gloss skin quality (hikari) that beautifully catches the light in the pond. Along the dorsal line runs a distinct row of doitsu scales with a dark accent, perfectly balanced from head to tail. The fins are bright white with slight transparency and are in good proportion to the body, further emphasising the elegant build. On the forehead, a prominent dark marking is visible that gives this fish a unique, recognisable character.

The body shape is streamlined and balanced, with a nice transition from head to shoulders — a favourable basis for further development. In a clear pond, the warm gold tone will strongly contrast with the water and the white fins, causing this variety to literally "shine."
